Every two hour travel to Cagayan de Oro can get pretty exhausting when you’re doing some leg work on projects. The other week we went to CDO, and decided to look for an accommodation that is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. We chanced upon Travelers Pod online which has been operating for quiet some time now, but we have yet to try.
Travelers Pod is a specialty lodging located at the Gateway Tower Building of the Lim Ket Kai Complex. It’s just along the National Highway, and right across M.U.S.T University formerly known as Don Mariano School. If you’re not familiar where that is, it is one of the buildings that is connected to Lim Ket Kai Mall, and the same one near Luxe Hotel.
What I liked about Travelers Pod is Pay-For-Use concept that the traveler in me rejoiced. What this meant is that if you’re a traveler with just a few hours to spare, and you want a decent bedspace to sleep in, a quick shower, or a secure place to leave your bags, you can do just that, and pay just for those services. So if you have a function/event to go to in a few hours, you can actually take a shower if you want, or check-in for a few hours.
We stayed in one of the 2 Premium Pods they have which is fully air-conditioned, and comes with private toilet and bathroom. The room rate is a bit expensive compared to the pension houses/inns for a room good for 3 pax at Php 2,000 additional Php 350/head for extra bed/s. But for a room with hot and cold shower, cable TV, free wifi, and telephone — I find the rate is actually a steal. The room is clean and comfortable, and is well-maintained. The staff are very accommodating to your needs, and questions. And I find that the place gives off this relax, and homey feel to it.
