Buddha’s Surf Resort is located at General Luna, Siargao between the town proper, and the famous Cloud 9 surf break. A prearranged airport shuttle at 300PhP/pax for a 45 minute ride to the resort is recommended for convenience, and comfort. Though it only offers, as of this writing, five rooms for accommodation, I found it exclusive, private, and comforting enough to get familiar with other guests, and staff as well. We were welcomed by manager Chris, and showed, and ushered to our rooms by the very chatty Marlo.

FOOD, AND BREAKFAST DIARIES
My social media updates during that trip was probably of their breakfast meals! At the open space restaurant, and bar offers not only hearty, and of generous proportion breakfast meals, the staff can also whip up delectable meals for lunch, and dinner. My fave would have to be the chicken curry which probably was a staple on every meal we had there. Food served is not only limited to it’s menu, you can request from Filipino dishes to traditional Filipino feast — lechon baboy (pig roast) included!
SURFING, AND MORE.
Managed, and run by people who probably spent significant numbers of hours with the waves, Buddha’s Surf Resort gives you a true local surfing experience. The resort offers surfing lessons, island hopping tours, stand up paddle boarding, aside from within the resort activities like yoga, volleyball, and slacklining among others. Resident surf instructor Marlo is not only the guy to go to for surfing lessons, he is also the best guy to ask on tidal, and weather conditions, and what activities to do for the day.

Buddha’s Surf Resort is not only ideal for surfers but also for non-surfer guests, like us, with it’s accommodating staff ready in helping plan out how to get the best of the Siargao experience. It is a great place to stay if you’re planning to travel to Siargao Island but booking ahead is recommended. I’d, definitely, stay here again, and hopefully get to try SUP!

Making friends, and meeting acquaintances with common interest in travel, — it reminded me, yet again, that travelers are wandering souls that either attract each other, or never get fateful enough to bump into each other at all.
