The sleek, and clean Tune Hotels, had made it to Cagayan de Oro City! Perfect for travelers who wants the reasonable priced range with clean rooms, and excellent staff hotels. The white and red lines dominating the skyline of CDO is as good as making an impression to the already month-long-on-the-road travellers in us.
On the #TravelMindanao Cagayan de Oro leg which spelled out as the adrenaline pumping, and white rapids adventure leg, Tune Hotels was generous enough to welcome us for our stay. If you do not know it already, Tune Hotels is a group of hotels that caters for travelers with style, and comfort. They have just rebranded, and are currently sporting Red Planet Hotels name brand. Clean lines, and minimalist look, what it lacks in spaciousness they make up for comfortable beds, soft linens, neutral, and minimalist interior complete with what is necessary for the traveler — comfort, security, and unimposing style.
The first room I was had was a twin. I had it all too myself because Lovette Jam was still on the road, and would catch up to the group the day after we checked in. The beds almost does kiss the walls beside it, it probably have enough space for you legs to dangle. The the room may be small, the mirror wall, which is a signature interior of Red Planet Hotels rooms makes it seem big.
I was then moved to another room which was actually a joint room, with an adjoining door to a twin room where Alex, and Doi stayed in. It is actually just the same size as the twin rooms but the queen bed on the center allowed extra space for leg room on either side of the bed. Mind you, after our water rafting activity, fatigue took over, and I was sick the whole night while everyone went out. It was either I was too sick to call for room service, or the bed enveloping my tired body succeeded in doing so.
Along with the minimalist look, and style of this hotel, right when you check-in, you will be handed with you essentials – towel, soap, and shampoo. If you also booked for additional services/features like internet connection, you will be given internet access as well for an add-on the room charge.
Tune Hotels is located along the National Highway, and the malls, Centrio Mall, & Gaisano Mall are just in walking distance at around 10mins, and on the the other side of the hotel is Lim Ket Kai shopping mall is also around 8-10mins walk.
The best way to score cheaper accommodation rates is to book ahead months before your trip. Tune Hotels, which also has international branches are known for cheaper rates when book earlier.
